The future, today

Posted by G four C on Sunday, April 10, 2011, In : Cars

Volkswagen have announced that they are going to build the Prototype XL1 which catch many many eyes by
  1. Futuristic styling
  2. 47 BHP
  3. Equivalent of a 1.6 Litre Golf TDI Engine
  4. 800CC
  5. LIMITED to 99MPH
Now that's interesting on that it only has 47 BHP yet it even limited to 99MPH. how can that little engine go over 100MPH? On the wight side it weighs roughly the same as the Mark 1 VW Golf GTI. The battery it hold (yes sadly it is a hybrid) is a Sanyo lithium-ion battery which is rated at about 5 kWh. ...

Jaguar XKR-S

Posted by G four C on Saturday, March 19, 2011, In : Cars
The newest jaguar is the absolutely stunning - Jaguar XKR-S why is the S there? well some think its to start rivaling the Porsche 911.

The XKR-S was shown at the Geneva Motor show 2011 and it is the fastest and most powerful jaguar to date. It features a 550BHP Super Charged V8 which pushes the car 0-60MPH in 4.2 Seconds and takes it all the way up to 186MPH. It is painted in a "electric" Blue paint which glistens in the sun. Seems that the luxury car maker hasn't forgot about the beauty of t...

Keonigsegg Agera R

Posted by Timothy Harland on Friday, March 4, 2011, In : Cars

Keonigsegg will showcase their new car this year at the Geneva Motor Show. What caught my eye is that the Agera R  will feature a 5.0 L V8 pumping out a hugely massive 1,115BHP. I mean what? They must be completely  mad or they are just lying. Other than the BHP they haven’t actually given out the info as such but I will give you updates as we receive them.

The engine is a Twin-Turbo Mercedes AMG V12 that pumps out around 700 BHP and 1100 Nm of torque it is one hell of an engine. the ...

DS3 Is It Worth The Title?

Posted by Timothy Harland on Friday, March 4, 2011, In : Cars
Advertised as the Top Gear car of the year 2010 with five different engines you have a decent choice. Ranging from a 1397cc petrol engiene to a 1560cc Diesel engiene and 1598cc petrol annother 1560cc diesel engiene in-between. So a decent range of engiene and with a starting price of only £11,700 a decent price to, especially with the brilliant styling  it looks beautiful. With a great and well equipped cabin its a great car to be in, as Citroens answer to the Mini and Fiat 500 the DS3 looks...

Renault Wind

Posted by Timothy Harland on Friday, March 4, 2011, In : Cars

The new Renault Wind is a sleek designed car for the everyday person. With a price of £15,900 it is certainly affordable. Inside it’s very comfortable and glides over bumps with ease. The CO2 emissions are low at 145 g/km which will mean reasonably low Road Tax and insurance at £125 for the tax. It is a convertible with a metal folding roof which means small boot space and slow acceleration but you’ll be surprised as its 1.2 litre petrol isn’t bad at all and provides enough for a norm...
