Pirelli's 'marbles'

Today Pirelli have announced that they will attempt to make the 'marbles' on the track reduced or at least smaller than they are currently after the drivers reported that the marbles were starting to make overtaking quite hard because of the marbles being scattered all across the track. Now, F1 Malaysian Grand Prix Practice 1 has finished just of 1 Hour 30 Minutes ago and the Pirelli tires have been good and bad. There were quite a few incidents with tires today, 2 from Renault a 1 from Virgin. First off is Vitaly Petrov from Renault. At first it looked like he had just simply under braked and spun off onto the gravel. So, the Malaysian Grand Prix is starting tomorrow at 3:00 AM for Practice 1 and 7:00 AM for practice 2 (for all times check out the calendar at the bottom of this page). and as always at the start of the seasons all the teams are looking nervous. FIA to go electric?

The FIA has announced that they are planning to introduce a electric version of each racing series (F1, GT2, F3, Moto GP etc...) the announcement came when Todt was talking about silverstone introducing an electric racing series there next month. This is not the only thing the FIA are changing to F1 to attempt to make it more environmental like introducing the KERS system again (it uses kinetic energy from the brakes to charge its battery, providing about 80BHP more to the car when activated)... At the Barcelona test for F1 cars Mclaren Driver Lewis Hamilton said to journalists that he or Jenson could get enough laps done. They both say that this is partly because of the tires, as f1 Officials and most teams saying that these types could end up making 2 maybe even 3 pit stops a race. Of course this is a problem for every team as they all have to use the new Pirelli tires. Robert Kubica

Renaults Robert Kubica had been seriously injured in a rally crash in Italy. Rumors suggest that one of his arms could be so badly injured that it could have to be amputated. But Health authority officers in Italy said that his life was not in danger. The ANSA News Agency said that a Operation has started after Igor Rossello was called to the hospital. Nick Heidfeld will replace Robert this season untill he gets better.
Everyone here hopes that Robert will have a speedy recovery.
