Dell Inspiron Duo(iPad or Netbook)
The new convertible.
As Dell like to boast, but is this necessarily a good thing. you can choose between an Ipad or a netbook. With a starting price of £449 and a maxed out total of £974 (including dock £885.90 without) so more expensive then an Ipad ( £439-£714[PC World]) and also more expensive then the equivalent netbook (without touchscreen). Having only 1.5GHz its not as quick as other netbooks, has 2048 MB (2.048 GB) of RAM, 250GB hardrive and 320 GB on the middle range model. So why more expensive? Well for starters it has a touch/flip 1366×768 10.1 inch HD LCD screen, you can chose between a netbook or tablet and works just like a touch screen PC when in tablet mode! So what are the bad points you might ask. Well it only has a 1.3 megapixel camera only Windows 7 Home Premium available, only has WLAN and no 3g weighs over twice what the Ipad does plus cost more then other netbooks and the Ipad does.
So you have three choices buy an iPad either with wi-fi or 3G, buy a netbook or spend more money on a combination of both.
