Now, F1 Malaysian Grand Prix Practice 1 has finished just of 1 Hour 30 Minutes ago and the Pirelli tires have been good and bad. There were quite a few incidents with tires today, 2 from Renault a 1 from Virgin. First off is Vitaly Petrov from Renault. At first it looked like he had just simply under braked and spun off onto the gravel. But, then it, from the replay, had shown that the tire exploded and this was happening while Renault were trying to fix Nick Heidfeld's car, whose brakes had jammed on and he had to drive it back a whole lap to the pits again on a sparking tire and a very very hot floor, and mm's away from falling off, thank god it wasn't the race as it was very chaotic. Then right at the end of the session, about 5 mins were left and the same happened to J.d'Ambrosio when he locked up, tire exploded and he landed on the gravel at the last corner spoiling vettel at trying to make his flying lap when a yellow was flagged when he went on the penultimate corner. webber had lead the session though and Hamilton 2nd but perhaps most surprising a the 4th by Nico Hulkenburg in his new team Force India. And if you were watching F1 last year this wonder boy was in Williams Cosworth and got pole position in the Brazilian Grand Prix. It's a shame that he was let down by Williams as they replaced him with P.Maldonado who got 5th place today.
