The FIA has announced that they are planning to introduce a electric version of each racing series (F1, GT2, F3, Moto GP etc...) the announcement came when Todt was talking about silverstone introducing an electric racing series there next month. This is not the only thing the FIA are changing to F1 to attempt to make it more environmental like introducing the KERS system again (it uses kinetic energy from the brakes to charge its battery, providing about 80BHP more to the car when activated) and newer environmentally engines in 2013 although this will require some talking into from the teams.
On another note, has anybody really noticed the Infiniti badge on the front of the Red Bull F1 car? Never really knew they were interested in F1.
