iOS 4.3 is the next reasonably big update for apple there are quite a few features avalable. The suspected announcment is for march 2nd 2011 as apple sent invitations for their news event at 10:00am

There aren’t so many new features for the ipod touch and iphone but probably the biggest is for iPads the new Multi-Gestures for iPad.These enable you to do a whole load more things utilising the multi-touch screen. The way this works is that when you open a app you can use five fingers (4 fingers and thumb) to cancel instead of the home button all you do is put your fingers around the sides then move them all to the middle. Another way to use multi-gestures is when you are in a app use four fingers sideways and switch apps without using multitasking or closing. Now you can also get the multi-tasking bar up by simply sliding your finger up. Who knows this may spell the end of the home button but i think that they wont trash it yet.

Also now you can use airplay in third-party apps . The mute button on the side can also be adjusted to be a mute button or a orientation lock button using the settings app. As well an update for idevices there is one for apple tv.

The main update for iPhone is that you can create a personal hotspot.
